تُعد Truffade Z-Type سيارة grand tourer من فئة Sports Classics بمقعدين، وتأتي على هيئة coupé ببابين من طراز ثلاثينيات القرن العشرين. يحيط غطاؤها الطويل ومحورها المستدير ورفارفها المنتفخة بشبك كرومي ذي مصابيح دائرية، فيما يحمل مؤخرتها المنحنية زوجاً آخر من المصابيح المستديرة وحجرة لعجلة احتياطية. تجهز المقصورة بألواح خشبية وأبواب مكسوة بالجلد ومجموعة عدادات بواجهة فولاذية. يستلهم تصميمها عدة سيارات فاخرة من تلك الحقبة، ويقال إن عشر نسخ منها فقط صُنعت.
يمنح محرك V12 مركب في المنتصف الأمامي، وناقل حركة بأربع سرعات ودفع خلفي، سيارة Z-Type سرعة استثنائية على الخطوط المستقيمة. وهي أسرع مركبة في فئة Sports Classics، كما كانت أسرع سيارة متاحة عند إطلاق Grand Theft Auto V، متفوقة بفارق طفيف على Monroe وAdder. تتسارع بسلاسة ويمكنها شق طريقها وسط حركة المرور الخفيفة، لكن نظام التعليق اللين وتوزيع الوزن غير المتوازن يجعلان المنعطفات السريعة صعبة. وقد ينزلق مؤخرتها فجأة، ويصعب استعادة السيطرة بعد فرط التوجيه، ما يجعلها غير ملائمة لسباقات Sports Classics.
في Grand Theft Auto V، تبيع Legendary Motorsport سيارة Z-Type مقابل $10,000,000. ويمكن أيضاً أخذ نسخة منها خلال Eye in the Sky والاحتفاظ بها بعد تركها عند 3671 Whispymound Drive، ثم استعادتها من LSPD Auto Impound مقابل $250. وتظهر في Eye in the Sky وPack Man. في Grand Theft Auto Online، تعرضها Legendary Motorsport مقابل $950,000، ويمكن الحصول على نسخ معدلة منها لأعمال Vehicle Cargo أو طلبها عبر Exotic Exports.

- ◆A Zaibatsu member can be seen driving the Z-Type in the introduction scene at the Residential District, to run over a Redneck member. The player can pick up the pistol from Scientists gang member corpse and shoot the Redneck - only if Police Officer is out of sight. Then he has to go west in order to check if the Z-Type is still parked and collect it. In the Dreamcast port, this Z-Type is given a unique gold paintjob.
- ◆A part of the Legendary Motorsport description of the Z-Type, "the Z-Type is a car you can really enjoy sitting in, surrounded by armed guards, too terrified to actually drive it anywhere", may be a reference to the armed Zaibatsu Corporation operatives (a.k.a. the Z-Men) from Grand Theft Auto 2.
- ◆This vehicle may spawn with a horn that is only present on a select few vehicles, the others being the Överflöd Entity XF, Grotti Cheetah, Dewbauchee JB 700, Enus Stafford and the Enus Paragon R (Armored).
- ◆The Z-Type is one of the oldest cars in Grand Theft Auto V, along with the Hotknife, Duneloader, Rat-Loader, Roosevelt and the old Tractor.
- ◆If given the right paint job (and possibly the right crew emblem) from Los Santos Customs, it will resemble the Zaibatsu Z-Type from GTA 2.
- ◆Just being in this car makes nearby pedestrians cheer and take pictures with their smartphones.
