Michael De Santa besucht Lester Crest in dessen Haus in El Burro Heights, nachdem er Schulden bei Martin Madrazo gemacht hat. Lester erklärt sich bereit, Michael bei dessen Arbeitssuche zu helfen, doch eine Meldung über den Lifeinvader-Gründer Jay Norris lenkt das Gespräch in eine andere Richtung. Wütend auf Norris übergibt Lester Michael einen Rucksack mit einem Sprengsatz. Er weist Michael an, bei Suburban auf Hawick Avenue jugendliche Kleidung zu kaufen und ihn anschließend für weitere Anweisungen anzurufen.
Michael zieht sich passend um und ruft Lester an, der ihn zum Lifeinvader Office in Rockford Hills schickt. Am Hintereingang wartet Michael auf einen Programmierer, der zum Rauchen hinausgeht, und folgt ihm ins Gebäude, nachdem er für den technischen Support gehalten wird. Der Programmierer bittet Michael, aufdringliche Pop-ups von seinem Computer zu entfernen und eine Antivirensoftware auszuführen. Sobald der Computer repariert ist, weist er Michael den Weg zum Demoraum, wo Michael Lesters Gerät in Lifeinvaders Prototyp-Handy platziert.
Draußen teilt Michael Lester mit, dass der Prototyp präpariert wurde, und fährt zur De Santa Residence in Rockford Hills. Er nimmt Tracey die Fernsehbedienung ab und sieht zu, wie Jay Norris das Handy während einer Live-Keynote präsentiert. Als Norris das Gerät hochhält, ruft Michael es an. Norris nimmt ab, und das Handy explodiert, tötet ihn auf der Bühne und unterbricht die Übertragung. Michael ruft Lester an, der sagt, der Anschlag habe ihm Geld eingebracht, und sich bereit erklärt, ihm zu helfen.

- ◆The mission name is a reference to the act of sending someone a friend request on Facebook, of which Lifeinvader is a parody, and Lester's request to Michael asking him to perform a favour.
- ◆Some of the pop-ups play ringtones from GTA IV, as "Lesbians", "The One for Me" and "Hooker" can be heard if one listens carefully.
- ◆The air guitar dance done by Rickie after Michael removes the pop-ups is a reference to the "Duckwalk" dance, popularized by the likes of Chuck Berry and Angus Young.
- ◆The phone bomb may be a reference to the 2009 crime thriller Law Abiding Citizen, where Clyde Sheldon assassinates a judge with a rigged cell phone bomb.

- ◆If Michael waits until night-time and then goes into his house to watch the "live" broadcast, Jay Norris would still be seen making the speech in broad daylight.
- ◆Should Michael fail to call Norris during the press conference, he will comment that somebody was supposed to call him and storms off, breaking the prototype by throwing it at the stage. This will still fail the mission.
- ◆The keynote is held at the Vinewood Bowl, the only time in the game an event takes place there not counting the Fame or Shame broadcasts.
- ◆This mission technically counts as one of Lester's assassinations, as it helps Lester manipulate the stock market. However, Lifeinvader's stock will never recover after completion of this mission. This does not happen in the other assassination missions, as affected stocks eventually rebound.
