Der Legendary Bullgator "Lacartus" ist ein legendärer Alligator in Red Dead Redemption 2. Er zählt zu den größten Tieren im Spiel, mit einem gewaltigen Körper und einer weißen, geschuppten Haut. Seine Färbung ähnelt Albinismus oder Leuzismus. Lacartus ist für einen Alligator außergewöhnlich widerstandsfähig und bewegt sich mit trügerischer Geschwindigkeit, was ihn zu einem gefährlichen Vertreter seiner Art macht.
Lacartus erscheint erstmals in "Country Pursuits", nachdem er das Boot mit Jules angegriffen und ihn im Sumpf zurückgelassen hat. Später verletzt er Jules, als dieser versucht, das Boot zu befreien, verfolgt dann Arthur und Jules durchs Wasser und folgt der Gruppe zurück in Richtung Lagras. Arthur und Dutch vertreiben ihn mit Schüssen, töten ihn jedoch nicht. Nach "That's Murfree Country" kann er in Bayou Nwa gejagt werden, südlich von Lagras und westlich von Lakay.
Die Jagd auf Lacartus bringt eine Legendary Alligator Skin, Big Game Meat und einen Legendary Alligator Tooth ein. Die Haut wird vom Trapper für Gegenstände des The Death Roll Garment Set verwendet, darunter die Legendary Alligator Fowlers, die Legendary Alligator Vest und der Legendary Alligator Gambler's Hat. Sein Zahn kann bei einem Fence zur Herstellung des Alligator Tooth Talisman verwendet werden.

- ◆According to the Trapper, the people of Lagras gave the gator the name "Lacartus". This name could be seen after studying him in earlier versions of the game, after pressing the 'show info' button. His full title in earlier versions of the game is "Lacartus – Legendary Bull Gator".
- ◆The Legendary Bullgator is one of only two legendary animals to appear in a story mission, the other being the Legendary Bharati Grizzly Bear.
- ◆Hunting the bullgator is very dangerous, as it will kill the player with a single hit regardless of their health.
- ◆Lacartus has the single highest health pool of any animal, legendary or otherwise, in Red Dead Redemption 2.

The reason it's labeled as such is because the difference between albino and leucism back when the game is set was likely not known especially by the average person.
