Player notes

Trevor meets Nigel and Mrs. Thornhill behind a business on Power Street in Strawberry. Their captive, actor Al Di Napoli, is locked in the trunk of Nigel's car and shouts for help from inside. Nigel and Mrs. Thornhill admit that they do not know what to do with him after the kidnapping. They leave the decision to Trevor, who gets into Nigel's car with Di Napoli still trapped in the back.

Trevor drives out of Los Santos towards the railroad crossing by the Palmer-Taylor Power Station. From the trunk, Di Napoli begs to be released and offers Trevor money for his freedom. Trevor can stop anywhere along the route and let him out, taking $3,000, or continue until Di Napoli raises his offer to $10,000 before releasing him. Di Napoli promises that he will say nothing about his captivity.

If Trevor continues to the tracks near the Palmer-Taylor Power Station, he leaves Nigel's car across the rails with Di Napoli inside. Trevor gets clear before a freight train tears through the vehicle, killing the actor. Afterward, Trevor calls Nigel and tells him that Di Napoli is dead. Nigel says that he and Mrs. Thornhill will remember him as he appeared on television.

Trivia

  • โ—†Even if the player chooses to release Di Napoli, it is still possible to kill him before he runs away. However, if the player does this, none of the news articles will appear.
  • โ—†It is likely that killing Di Napoli is the canon choice due to the Gold medal objectives.
  • โ—†Also, a small portion of this mission was seen in Trevor's character trailer when he is seen bailing out of the blue Premier used in this mission before it is destroyed by a train.
  • โ—†It is possible for members of The Lost to kill Di Napoli while he is in the trunk, when they are attempting to kill Trevor, completing the mission. This can happen in the hills west of the Palmer-Taylor Power Station.
  • โ—†Di Napoli can also be killed by hitting the trunk of the car with a melee weapon right after the mission begins.
  • โ—†It's also possible to kill Di Napoli by shooting at the back seat in first person.
  • โ—†Nigel and Mrs. Thornhill can be killed if the player drives the car around the corner and destroys it out of sight. Since destroying the car completes the mission, Nigel and Mrs. Thornhill will be treated as ordinary pedestrians.
