Octopus

The Octopus is a medium-sized general break bulk cargo ship in Grand Theft Auto V. Its grey and red hull carries a white superstructure above green decks, while the exhaust stack bears marine blue stripes around a white band. The ship's name appears on both sides of the bow and on the stern, which lists Liberty City as its port of registration.

The vessel is moored at Elysian Island in Los Santos, close to Los Santos Naval Port and the Post OP Depository. It remains part of the waterfront shipping traffic rather than a vehicle sold by a business or awarded through an activity. In Grand Theft Auto IV, an almost identical vessel is the Platypus, with the GTA V version receiving minor texture additions.

The Octopus is arranged for carrying and handling general cargo. Cargo access ports run along its midsection, and two sets of onboard cranes stand on the foredeck. Its bridge sits atop a superstructure rising five levels over the deck, with radio and radar masts above it. Lifeboats and raft containers are fitted around the superstructure and stern.
