About this vehicle
The Uranus is a Vapid sports car configured as a three-door hatchback with room for two. In Grand Theft Auto V, it is not an active road vehicle, but wrecked examples remain scattered around San Andreas. Its retained handling entry indicates that it was once intended to be controllable during development.
Its design follows the Grand Theft Auto IV Uranus, itself based chiefly on the 1979 to 1986 Ford Sierra hatchback. The earlier model also borrows its headlights and front bumper lamps from the Ford Mustang, while its grille resembles that of a Ford Escort. The louvred rear side windows point to the Sierra influence.
The leftover GTA V handling data suggests a heavier Uranus than the GTA IV version, with rear-wheel drive in place of the earlier car's front-wheel-drive layout. The vehicle is used only as a wreck in San Andreas, rather than being sold, driven in traffic or awarded through an activity.

- โUranus is the seventh planet in the Solar System. It is pronounced, "you-ran-us". However, people tend to mispronounce it or to jokingly use the word as a crude reference to the term "your anus". Considering Rockstar Games' long history of crude references, "your anus" is likely to be the intended pronunciation. It is also pronounced this way by the police dispatch in GTA IV.
