Dorothea Wicklow is an American activist in the women's suffrage movement, active in Saint Denis, Lemoyne. A middle-aged to elderly woman, she wears round spectacles, gold earrings and a "Votes for women" sash over a black frock, white shirt and gloves. Her grey hair is wavy, and she presents herself publicly as a campaigner for political equality.
Dorothea first appears at Mayor Lemieux's party at his Saint Denis residence. She is among the guests at the mayor's gathering, where her presence places a suffrage campaigner within the city's political and social circles.
From noon until 6 PM, Dorothea speaks outside the Tailor in northern Saint Denis beside a placard reading, "Votes for women. Abolish discrimination against half of every home." She argues that women must be allowed to help govern the country and rebukes men during conversations. Arthur can offer an apparently sympathetic reply that insults those seeking the vote, or openly berate her. He can meet Dorothea there twice.
Trivia
- โWicklow has become something of a controversial subject in the game's fanbase, with people depicting her getting mauled or beaten to death in online videos. In November 2018, a YouTuber named Shirrako had his account terminated after much pressure from social media due to him posting videos showcasing Wicklow dying in various brutal ways, such as being fed to alligators or being thrown down chasms. He was able to get his account back, albeit with the videos featuring Wicklow being age restricted.
- โShe is similar to a soapboxer from another Rockstar game, Grand Theft Auto V, who also uses a protest sign and calls for the deportation of all Canadian immigrants and tourists from America.
