Didsbury is an American miner and union representative in Annesburg, in Roanoke Ridge, New Hanover. He speaks for workers connected to the Jameson Mining Co. and is also associated with Leviticus Cornwall's interests. His part in the story concerns the miners' dispute with the company over their pay, not the affairs of the Van der Linde gang before they reach Annesburg.
During Red Dead Redemption 2, Didsbury meets Leviticus Cornwall to discuss the miners' strike. He explains that the men have stopped work because their wages are unfair. The meeting offers him a chance to put the union's grievance directly to Cornwall, but the discussion does not reach any resolution before Dutch van der Linde arrives to confront the industrialist.
Dutch's interruption brings the labour dispute to an immediate halt. A shootout follows the confrontation with Cornwall, turning the ship into a place of refuge for Didsbury rather than a site for further negotiation. He runs inside as gunfire erupts, leaving Cornwall, Dutch and the armed conflict outside.
