Elias Green is an American member of the Skinner Brothers, operating in Tall Trees, West Elizabeth. The Blackwater Police Department wants him for the murder and mutilation of six travelers near Manzanita Post. He carries a bow and remains at large until John Marston takes up his bounty after returning to the region. Green's crimes place him among the Skinner Brothers targets pursued around Blackwater and Tall Trees.
John tracks Green down as part of the bounty hunt. The pursuit leads to a confrontation in which Green can be killed or taken alive. If John kills him, he brings Green's body to Blackwater rather than a living prisoner. The police accept the corpse, then dispose of it behind the police station. Green's bounty ends there, with no trial or public appearance.
If John captures Green alive, the police imprison him in Blackwater. Green is then hanged publicly soon afterward. His arrest brings the hunt from the woods and roads near Manzanita Post into the town where he is wanted, ending with his execution before the people of Blackwater.

- โAlthough Green isn't the leader of the Skinner Brothers like Otis Skinner, he's considered more dangerous, as his $90 bounty is 15 dollars more than Skinner's.
- โAfter capturing him, John will joke about taking away his hat. However, even if itโs picked up, the hat can't be saved in the wardrobe.
- โLike Otis Skinner, Elias Green is buried in the cemetery located on the outskirts of Blackwater.
- โElias Green's look could have been inspired by โBear Manโ, a dentist, and trader from Coen brothers' True Grit.
