Gloria is an elderly, toothless and partly blind woman who lives on Guarma and speaks Spanish. She works as a guide through the island's caves. Dutch van der Linde encounters her while he and Arthur Morgan are trying to reach Aguasdulces. Dutch hires Gloria to lead them through the underground passages, paying her with the gang's last gold bar.
Gloria takes Dutch and Arthur through the cave system and brings them to its exit. Once they emerge, she asks Dutch for more money. He refuses. Gloria draws a knife and threatens him, but Dutch disarms her before she can act.
Dutch then strangles Gloria to death at the cave exit. Arthur is appalled by the violence and challenges Dutch over killing an old woman. Dutch insists that he sensed danger in her, despite having earlier claimed to understand Spanish. Gloria remains dead in the caves of Guarma as Dutch and Arthur continue toward Aguasdulces.
Trivia
- โThough the player can loot Gloria's corpse after her death, the gold bar given to her by Dutch cannot be recovered.
