Branwen is a medium Riding horse in Red Dead Redemption 2, identified by the Flaxen Roan coat. It has Standard handling, with speed and acceleration rated at 3, health at 4 and stamina at 5. The horse has a red chestnut roan body without distinct markings, flaxen mane and tail, grey hooves and skin, and brown eyes.
Branwen is Kieran Duffy's mount throughout 1899. Kieran has formed a bond with the horse by the time he is with the O'Driscolls, and Branwen remains associated with him after Kieran joins the Van der Linde gang. It can be found at camp or near Kieran, including after it returns to him at Horseshoe Overlook.
The game uses Branwen as Kieran's personal horse during the gang's journey. Kieran rides it while with the O'Driscolls, and he can take Branwen fishing with Arthur Morgan at Flat Iron Lake during the stay at Clemens Point. Kieran also tends to the horse in camp, brushing it there. Branwen disappears from camp with Kieran at Shady Belle and is not seen again.

- โAlthough a stallion, Branwen may have been named after Branwen, the sister of the giant Brรขn the Blessed.
- โHe cannot be mounted, but can die during "Old Friends" and the game will not consider the mission failed; this does not affect later portions of the game.
