Brown Jack

Brown Jack is a large Brown Roan War horse with Standard handling. His speed and acceleration are both rated 3, while his health is rated 5 and his stamina 4. These qualities place his durability above his pace, fitting the War horse class and Bill Williamson's use of him during armed work with the Van der Linde gang.

Brown Jack is Bill Williamson's mount throughout 1899. He stays with the gang at camp and can also be found near Bill, including at Colter, Horseshoe Overlook, Clemens Point, Shady Belle, Lakay and Beaver Hollow. Arthur Morgan remarks on the close bond between Bill and the horse, while Bill makes sure that Brown Jack receives hay.

Bill rides Brown Jack on gang business, including trips to O'Driscoll territory, wagon and stagecoach robberies, the Valentine bank robbery, the assault on Braithwaite Manor, raids around Van Horn and the attack on Cornwall Factory. Brown Jack remains calm under fire and follows Bill's commands. Bill escapes the Pinkertons on him during "Red Dead Redemption", after which Brown Jack is not seen again.
