Player notes
After several days aboard the Antenor, Arthur Morgan sleeps below deck when Dutch van der Linde shakes him awake. A violent storm has engulfed the ship, and Dutch tells him they must get out. Still disoriented, Arthur follows Dutch through the vessel as it lurches under the force of the waves. Micah Bell, Javier Escuella and Bill Williamson are already moving with them through the darkened passageways.
The Antenor is badly damaged and the storm worsens as the group tries to reach the deck. A sudden impact sends heavy crates crashing down between Arthur and Dutch, cutting Arthur off from the others. He searches for another route while the ship continues to break apart around him, then finally reaches the open deck.
Dutch, Micah, Javier and Bill have already escaped in a lifeboat. Arthur calls after them from the ruined Antenor, but they are too far away to return. With crewmembers abandoning the sinking ship around him, Arthur leaps into the black, raging sea. The storm carries him away from the Antenor toward Guarma.
Trivia
- โThe name of this mission can only be discovered using glitches or autosaving.
- โThis title is a pun on the idiom called "lost and found", referring to an office in a public building or area where people can go to retrieve lost articles that may have been found by others.
- โDue to the entire mission consisting of a single cutscene, the mission cannot be replayed via the pause menu (like "The Best of Women").
- โHowever, unlike that mission, the name "Lost and Not Quite Found" never appears on screen.
- โThis mission essentially acts as an epilogue to "Banking, The Old American Art". As such, it is technically the final mission of Chapter 4.
- โThis mission will automatically continue into the first mission of Chapter 5, "Welcome to the New World".
- โAfter this mission, the player will temporarily lose their provisions, weapons, money, and horses, as well as Arthur's journal, and become trapped in Guarma until the mission "Paradise Mercifully Departed" has been completed.
- โThe name of the ship "Antenor" Is a reference to a character in Greek mythology who had the total loyalty and trust of his king before betraying him to the Greeks. This could be a reference or foreshadowing Micah's betrayal who was loyal to Dutch but then betrayed him to the Pinkertons.
