Player notes
At Clemens Point, Dutch and Hosea try to calm John, who fears for Abigail and Jack after the attack on Braithwaite Manor. Agent Milton and Agent Ross arrive with a proposal: the gang can receive amnesty if they leave the area and hand Dutch over. Nobody accepts the offer. Milton warns that he will return with fifty men, forcing the gang to abandon Clemens Point and find another camp.
Dutch remembers Shady Belle, the isolated Lemoyne manor Lenny had found, and sends Arthur and John ahead to make sure it is safe. Riding through Lemoyne, John complains that Dutch and Hosea's dealings with the Gray and Braithwaite families have brought disaster on them. He also admits that he has failed Jack as a father. Arthur tells him not to dwell on it as they approach the manor.
Lemoyne Raiders have returned to Shady Belle. Arthur and John shoot the men outside and search the house room by room for those still inside. Once the manor is cleared, they carry bodies down to the jetty and throw them into the swamp. John rides back to guide the caravan in, and the gang arrives to establish its new camp at Shady Belle. Arthur then leaves with Dutch for Saint Denis, where they intend to look for Jack.

Trivia
- โThere is a typo in the subtitles in the opening cutscene, where Hosea's last name is spelled as "Mathews" when Milton addresses him.
- โDuring this mission, there are several lines of dialogue that are recalled during "A Fork in the Road":
- โIf Arthur has low Honor in said mission, he remembers a part of only one quote from Agent Milton to Dutch: "Who made you the messiah to these lost souls...?"
- โIf he has high Honor, however, he remembers the lines "We can't change what's done, we can only move on" said by himself, and "I sometimes wonder if things are ever the way we remember 'em, if we were ever who we thought we was" said by John.
- โWhen Milton asks John for his name, John replies "Rip Van Winkle". This may be a reference to the 1819 short story Rip Van Winkle by Washington Irving, which is about a Dutch-American villager in colonial America who meets a mysterious Dutchmen, imbibes their liquor and falls asleep in the Catskill Mountains. This could also be a humorous reference to John being associated with a person named "Dutch". Additionally, Winkle shared a tense dynamic with his wife who constantly nagged him, mirroring John's initial difficult relationship with Abigail who frequently pestered him to accept his parental responsibilities towards Jack before he stepped up and also their relationship in the epilogue where Abigail frequently berated John for perceived shortcomings.
- โWhen dealing with the Raiders in the house, one of them will try and shoot at Arthur, but finds his gun empty, so he surrenders. If the player does not kill him, Arthur will let him leave. But when the Raider runs outside, he may end up getting shot and killed by John, who thought he was escaping.
- โWhen Arthur reaches the Lemoyne Raider who wants to have a knife fight in a small room, it's possible to execute him by blasting off his head with a double-barrel shotgun and he will get right back up and follow Arthur until he's shot again.
- โAfter the mission, if Arthur returns to camp and greets John he will ask if the latter is okay, to which John will reply with a question about Angelo Bronte.
