La Declasse Granger è un SUV a quattro porte e di grandi dimensioni nella classe SUVs, costruito come autocarro leggero con spazio per otto occupanti. La sua carrozzeria larga e squadrata presenta un frontale geometrico, una griglia cromata a barre, fendinebbia circolari e pneumatici ad alto profilo. Passaruota rialzati, pedane laterali, barre sul tetto e finiture scure le conferiscono un aspetto orientato al fuoristrada. Alcuni esemplari montano un bullbar, mentre altri adottano rivestimenti a contrasto per paraurti e passaruota.
Un motore in stile V8 turbocompresso, una trasmissione a cinque marce e una stabile configurazione a quattro ruote motrici conferiscono alla Granger una coppia elevata e una sensazione di robustezza. Non è veloce quanto i veicoli sportivi, ma rimane capace su rocce, sabbia e sentieri montani, e il suo peso le permette di attraversare traffico, recinzioni e posti di blocco. La ridotta altezza da terra può rendere problematici gradini ripidi e pendenze brusche. Resiste a gravi danni da collisione e colpi d'arma da fuoco, caratteristica adatta al suo impiego da parte di NOOSE, Sheriffs e Park Rangers.
In Grand Theft Auto V, la Granger si trova spesso a Blaine County, compresa Route 68 attraverso Harmony e Paleto Bay, e può apparire sulla strada sterrata presso il posto di controllo orientale di Fort Zancudo. In Grand Theft Auto Online, appare nei dintorni di Davis Quartz, Downtown, Richman, i moli, Pacific Bluffs e il rifugio di RON Alternates Wind Farm. - ◆The name Granger is a subtle poke at the Suburban, as a "granger" is a slang term for a farmer, and the Suburban nameplate was originally applied to rurally-oriented vehicles before its evolution as a modern SUV.
- ◆The Granger is badged as a "3500LX," referring to the engine series used in its real-life inspiration, the Chevrolet Suburban, as well as possibly referencing the vehicle's trim level. It could also reference older generations of the Suburban, which were available as 1500 (half-ton) and 2500 (three-quarter-ton) models.
- ◆Southern San Andreas Super Autos erroneously describes the Granger as a pickup truck.
- ◆In the enhanced version of the game, the Granger was equipped with LED police lights from its FIB counterpart, albeit non-functioning. These were removed in an update.
- ◆Oddly, the Granger's main exhaust pipe has two extensions towards the exhaust manifold despite the engine having only one exhaust manifold. This appears on all of its emergency variants, as well as several other SUVs and several trucks.
- ◆By scrolling through the "Window Tints" options without selecting anything, one can either remove the tint or keep the dark tint. In addition, the Light Smoke tint does not change anything at all.
