Gli alci sono enormi erbivori cornuti in Red Dead Redemption 2, basati su Alces alces. Il gioco include il Western Bull Moose e il Western Moose. Il maschio porta le corna, mentre il Western Moose è la variante femmina. Entrambi si nutrono di germogli di salice e betulla, piante acquatiche ed erbacee, e si spostano sia nell'acqua sia sulla terraferma.
I Western Bull Moose sono originari di West Elizabeth. I Western Moose abitano le remote aree boschive di West Elizabeth, Ambarino e New Hanover. Compaiono nei pressi di Aurora Basin, Cairn Lake, Strawberry, Wapiti Indian Reservation e Willard's Rest, oltre che a Big Valley, Owanjila, Roanoke Ridge, Tall Trees, Grizzlies East e Grizzlies West.
Essendo animali della classe massiccia, gli alci richiedono equipaggiamento da caccia potente. Un Bow con Improved Arrows o un fucile a canna lunga con mirino sono efficaci contro di loro. Un'uccisione fornisce Moose Fur, Moose Antler e Mature Venison. Pelliccia e corna vengono usate nella creazione, e un Western Bull Moose Antler è necessario per il potenziamento del campo Main Campfire chiamato "Moose Antlers."

- ◆Moose are notoriously rare and are one of the most (if not the most) difficult animals to come by. Even in their confirmed spawn locations, they are not guaranteed to spawn. This has led to some in-game jokes about Moose being even more legendary than the actual Legendary Moose.
- ◆The Compendium image for the Western Moose incorrectly shows a female Elk instead a female moose.
- ◆Moose, with the exclusion of Legendary Animals, are the largest naturally spawning animals in Red Dead Redemption 2. By height, they are taller than the other megafauna in the game, such as the Alligator, Bison, and Oxen.
- ◆The information on their diet mistakenly says they are omnivores, but in reality, moose are herbivores and do not eat meat. This is likely to be an error.
