War Horse è una classe di cavalli in Red Dead Redemption 2, concepita per la resistenza anziché per una rapida accelerazione. È indicata con un manto Silver dapple black e un valore di velocità pari a 65. I War Horses hanno velocità e accelerazione inferiori rispetto a molte altre classi di cavalli, ma salute e stamina sono sopra la media. Il gioco li impiega come cavalcature robuste, capaci di sopportare cadute e combattimenti più facilmente dei cavalli più veloci.
Un bonus per il preordine dell'Ultimate Edition, oppure un codice ottenuto separatamente, rende disponibile un Iron Grey Roan Ardennes dopo che Arthur Morgan raggiunge il Chapter 2 e accompagna Hosea Matthews in "Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego." Alla scuderia di Valentine, questo Ardennes compare tra gli esemplari disponibili e può essere preso gratuitamente. È un War Horse con la salute e la stamina superiori proprie della classe.
