Il Turkoman è una razza di cavalli media in Red Dead Redemption 2 e Red Dead Online. Combina le classi Race e War, con una corporatura snella e agile e un mantello lucido. La sua maneggevolezza Standard gli conferisce reattività e agilità moderate, anche se può essere impaziente.
In quanto incrocio tra Race e War, il Turkoman possiede attributi complessivi più elevati rispetto ad altre razze. Ha una velocità elevata, buona resistenza e salute eccellente, che lo rendono una cavalcatura versatile per la maggior parte delle situazioni. Le sue prestazioni si collocano tra la velocità di un cavallo da corsa e la robustezza attesa da un cavallo da guerra.
I Turkoman possono essere acquistati nelle scuderie. I mantelli standard sono Dark Bay, Gold e Silver, mentre Red Dead Online presenta anche le varianti Black, Chestnut, Grey e Perlino. Hosea Matthews cavalca il Turkoman Silver Silver Dollar, che resta all'accampamento della banda e può essere acquistato alle scuderie di Tumbleweed nell'epilogo. - ◆The ancient Turkoman breed was long since considered extinct by the period in which the game is set (there is an endangered horse breed called "Turkemin" in modern-day Iran, but it might not be the original Turkoman breed). However, the breed is survived by descendant breeds such as the Akhal-Teke, the Yomud, the Goklan and the Nokhorli , and, through some of its male lines, the Thoroughbred. The Akhal-Teke often have distinctly metallic coats like the horses depicted in-game. Some claim that the Akhal-Teke and the Turkoman are the same breed. Some of the foundation stallions of the Thoroughbred breed were probably Turkomans or their direct descendants.
- ◆The Dark Bay Turkoman and the Silver Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox Trotter are the only two horses whose coat colors that are supposed to only be available in the Epilogue but are also completely obtainable in the main story.
