O Turkoman é uma raça de cavalo de porte médio em Red Dead Redemption 2 e Red Dead Online. Ele reúne as classes Race e War, com uma constituição esguia e ágil, além de pelagem lisa. Seu manejo Standard oferece reatividade e agilidade moderadas, embora o animal possa ser impaciente.
Por cruzar as categorias Race e War, o Turkoman possui atributos gerais superiores aos de outras raças. Tem boa velocidade, boa resistência e saúde excelente, funcionando como uma montaria equilibrada para a maioria das situações. Seu desempenho combina a rapidez de um cavalo de corrida com a resistência de um cavalo de guerra.
Turkomans podem ser comprados em estábulos. As pelagens regulares são Dark Bay, Gold e Silver, e Red Dead Online também inclui variantes Black, Chestnut, Grey e Perlino. Hosea Matthews monta o Turkoman Silver chamado Silver Dollar, que fica no acampamento da gangue e pode ser comprado nos estábulos de Tumbleweed no epílogo. Sadie Adler monta o Gold Dapple Turkoman Bob no acampamento a partir de Clemens Point. Em "Horse Flesh for Dinner", Arthur Morgan, Javier Escuella e John Marston roubam o Dark Bay Turkoman Cerberus dos Braithwaites.
Curiosidades
- ◆The ancient Turkoman breed was long since considered extinct by the period in which the game is set (there is an endangered horse breed called "Turkemin" in modern-day Iran, but it might not be the original Turkoman breed). However, the breed is survived by descendant breeds such as the Akhal-Teke, the Yomud, the Goklan and the Nokhorli , and, through some of its male lines, the Thoroughbred. The Akhal-Teke often have distinctly metallic coats like the horses depicted in-game. Some claim that the Akhal-Teke and the Turkoman are the same breed. Some of the foundation stallions of the Thoroughbred breed were probably Turkomans or their direct descendants.
- ◆The Dark Bay Turkoman and the Silver Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox Trotter are the only two horses whose coat colors that are supposed to only be available in the Epilogue but are also completely obtainable in the main story.
