Arthur torna da Guarma a bordo di una barca con Dutch van der Linde e gli altri sopravvissuti alla traversata. Mentre si avvicinano alla terraferma di fronte a Van Horn Trading Post, Dutch dice ad Arthur di andare a Shady Belle e scoprire cosa ne è stato della banda. Arthur raggiunge la riva, prende un Hungarian Half-bred dalla strada e cavalca da solo attraverso Lemoyne verso il loro vecchio accampamento.
A Shady Belle, Arthur smonta da cavallo ed entra nella casa abbandonata. In una stanza al piano terra trova una lettera indirizzata a "Uncle Tacitus" e firmata da "Caroline", il nome che Sadie Adler usa per celare la propria identità. Sadie gli comunica che la banda ha lasciato Shady Belle e lo sta aspettando a Lakay, un piccolo insediamento nelle paludi a nord di Saint Denis.
Gli agenti Pinkerton arrivano a Shady Belle alla ricerca della stessa traccia della banda di Van der Linde. Arthur esce dalla casa, evitando gli agenti oppure combattendo per farsi strada, poi prende un cavallo dal terreno circostante. Segue le indicazioni di Sadie attraverso Bayou Nwa e raggiunge Lakay, dove il resto della banda è nascosto.
Curiosità
- ◆The player can skip most of this mission by heading straight for Lakay instead of going to Shady Belle.
- ◆It is possible to save the Guarma outfit after the mission. The player must head to the general store during the mission, buy any hat and save it as a "custom outfit" along with the attire.
- ◆The song that plays in the background while Arthur is riding back to Shady Belle is an extended version of "Unshaken" by D'Angelo. The original version can be heard in The Music of Red Dead Redemption 2: Original Soundtrack.
- ◆If the player heads to the Old Light Saloon, the missing person poster of Isabeau Katharina Zinsmeister posted outside of it will be replaced with the bounty poster for Benedict Allbright. This is one of the only times in the game when Allbright's poster can be observed on a wall, outside of his bounty hunting mission.
- ◆If Arthur waits long enough and doesn't read Sadie's letter, one of the Pinkerton agents can be seen and heard reading it.
- ◆Once Arthur returns from Guarma he will look underweight whether he has average or perfect weight. His eyes will also look red and have bags on them, indicating his future illness.
- ◆Arthur will have around $450 in his possession after returning from Guarma.
- ◆If the player wishes, they can steal one of the Pinkertons' horses to leave Shady Belle instead of their Hungarian Half-bred.
