Arthur regresa de Guarma en un barco junto a Dutch van der Linde y los demás que sobrevivieron al viaje. Cuando se acercan al continente, frente a Van Horn Trading Post, Dutch le ordena ir a Shady Belle para averiguar qué ha sido de la banda. Arthur llega a tierra, toma un Hungarian Half-bred de la calle y cabalga solo por Lemoyne hacia su antiguo campamento.
En Shady Belle, Arthur baja del caballo y entra en la casa abandonada. En una habitación de la planta baja encuentra una carta dirigida a "Uncle Tacitus" y firmada por "Caroline", el nombre que Sadie Adler emplea para ocultar su identidad. Sadie le comunica que la banda ha abandonado Shady Belle y espera en Lakay, una pequeña población pantanosa al norte de Saint Denis.
Unos agentes Pinkerton llegan a Shady Belle siguiendo el mismo rastro de la banda Van der Linde. Arthur sale de la casa, ya sea esquivando a los agentes o abriéndose paso entre ellos, y toma un caballo de los terrenos. Sigue las indicaciones de Sadie a través de Bayou Nwa hasta Lakay, donde se oculta el resto de la banda.
Curiosidades
- ◆The player can skip most of this mission by heading straight for Lakay instead of going to Shady Belle.
- ◆It is possible to save the Guarma outfit after the mission. The player must head to the general store during the mission, buy any hat and save it as a "custom outfit" along with the attire.
- ◆The song that plays in the background while Arthur is riding back to Shady Belle is an extended version of "Unshaken" by D'Angelo. The original version can be heard in The Music of Red Dead Redemption 2: Original Soundtrack.
- ◆If the player heads to the Old Light Saloon, the missing person poster of Isabeau Katharina Zinsmeister posted outside of it will be replaced with the bounty poster for Benedict Allbright. This is one of the only times in the game when Allbright's poster can be observed on a wall, outside of his bounty hunting mission.
- ◆If Arthur waits long enough and doesn't read Sadie's letter, one of the Pinkerton agents can be seen and heard reading it.
- ◆Once Arthur returns from Guarma he will look underweight whether he has average or perfect weight. His eyes will also look red and have bags on them, indicating his future illness.
- ◆Arthur will have around $450 in his possession after returning from Guarma.
- ◆If the player wishes, they can steal one of the Pinkertons' horses to leave Shady Belle instead of their Hungarian Half-bred.
