Em Beecher's Hope, Uncle se junta a John quando Charles volta de uma ronda pela região. Charles diz que os Skinner Brothers não devem retornar tão cedo, e os três podem começar a trabalhar na casa do rancho que John comprou. Eles passam a montar a construção pré-cortada. Uncle alega que sua lumbago terminal o impede de fazer o serviço pesado, ficando por perto para dar ordens a John e Charles.
Nas semanas seguintes, John e Charles erguem a casa etapa por etapa. Eles preparam a fundação, encaixam e martelam as vigas, levantam a estrutura e cobrem o telhado com telhas. Uncle continua presente, oferecendo incentivo e instruções enquanto os dois fazem o trabalho. Quando terminam, John, Charles e Uncle param diante da casa pronta em Beecher's Hope e brindam ao novo lar.
Mais tarde, John se senta dentro da casa e escreve para Abigail. Ele conta que Charles e Uncle voltaram a fazer parte de sua vida e o ajudaram a comprar a terra e construir a casa. John admite ter feito algo tolo para impressioná-la, afirma que tenta abandonar a antiga vida e diz sentir falta de Abigail e Jack. Alguns dias passam em Beecher's Hope.

- ◆This mission contains the song "House Building Song" by David Ferguson, which is not included among the video game's original soundtrack, but is included in The Housebuilding EP, which was released on February 12, 2021.
- ◆During many of the house building scenes in the mission, there is a Blue Jay that appears and seems to be unfazed by John and Charles as they construct Beecher's Hope. This has led to many fan theories about the bird potentially being a reincarnated version of Arthur, although there has been no official confirmation on this.
- ◆During the flashback scenes when John is writing his letter, he can be briefly seen with his 1899 hairstyle in one scene.
- ◆It is possible for a glitch to occur where John is looking jarringly upwards instead of in front during the hammering scenes.
- ◆If the player has a temporary horse active anywhere on the map when starting this mission, it will disappear after the mission is done. The player must stable their temporary horse beforehand if they want to keep it.
