في Tumbleweed، يقود Seth Briars جون Marston نحو قصر قديم يعتقد أن كنزه مخبأ فيه. يحتل رجال مسلحون البلدة المهجورة والمنزل، لذا يطلب Seth من John أن يفتح لهما طريقا. يتبعه John عبر Tumbleweed، مقاتلا أفراد العصابة الذين يسدون طريقهما إلى القصر.

الواجهة الأمامية للمبنى مغلقة، ما يجبر Seth وJohn على الدخول عبر أبواب القبو. يقتل John الرجال المنتظرين في الأسفل ويشق طريقه عبر غرف القصر الضيقة. يبقى Seth قريبا بينما يقاتل John طريقه إلى الطابق العلوي، حيث اتخذ مزيد من المسلحين مواقع لهم في الطابق الثاني.

في غرفة بالطابق العلوي، يصل Seth أخيرا إلى المكان الذي كان يبحث عنه. يعثر على عين زجاجية ويتعامل مع هذا الشيء الصغير باعتباره كنزه المفقود منذ زمن طويل. يبقى John يراقب Seth وهو يحتفل باكتشافه داخل القصر في Tumbleweed.

  • ◆The title of this mission, "Let the Dead Bury Their Dead", is a quote from Jesus in Matthew 8:22 and Luke 9:60 when talking with an unnamed disciple about following him and going and proclaiming the kingdom of God.
  • ◆People at camp sites occasionally talk about a family that was eaten by a ghost in Tumbleweed and that all that was left was a glass eye. The eye Seth found may be related to the camp fire story.
  • ◆Ironically, in the basement, Seth walks past the real treasure for Treasure Hunter Rank 4.
  • ◆As of June 2014, multiple players have confirmed that after the last cutscene of the mission, they can hear a Zombie Marston growl made by Marston.
  • ◆In Undead Nightmare the glass eye is one of the rumored sources of the plague.
  • ◆Additionally, in the DLC, after John clears out the graveyards and returns to Seth, the latter swallows the glass eye.
