En Tumbleweed, Seth Briars lleva a John Marston hasta una vieja mansión donde cree que está escondido su tesoro. Hay hombres armados en el pueblo abandonado y en la casa, así que Seth le pide a John que les abra paso. John lo acompaña por Tumbleweed y combate a los miembros de la banda que les cierran el camino hacia la mansión.

La entrada principal está cerrada, por lo que Seth y John entran por las puertas del sótano. John acaba con los hombres que los esperan abajo y avanza por las estrechas habitaciones de la mansión. Seth se mantiene cerca mientras John sube y se enfrenta a más pistoleros apostados en el segundo piso.

En una habitación de arriba, Seth llega por fin al lugar que llevaba buscando. Encuentra un ojo de cristal y recibe el pequeño objeto como si fuera su tesoro perdido. John contempla cómo Seth celebra el hallazgo dentro de la mansión de Tumbleweed.

Curiosidades

  • ◆The title of this mission, "Let the Dead Bury Their Dead", is a quote from Jesus in Matthew 8:22 and Luke 9:60 when talking with an unnamed disciple about following him and going and proclaiming the kingdom of God.
  • ◆People at camp sites occasionally talk about a family that was eaten by a ghost in Tumbleweed and that all that was left was a glass eye. The eye Seth found may be related to the camp fire story.
  • ◆Ironically, in the basement, Seth walks past the real treasure for Treasure Hunter Rank 4.
  • ◆As of June 2014, multiple players have confirmed that after the last cutscene of the mission, they can hear a Zombie Marston growl made by Marston.
  • ◆In Undead Nightmare the glass eye is one of the rumored sources of the plague.
  • ◆Additionally, in the DLC, after John clears out the graveyards and returns to Seth, the latter swallows the glass eye.
