A Tumbleweed, Seth Briars guida John Marston verso una vecchia villa dove crede sia nascosto il suo tesoro. Uomini armati occupano la città deserta e la casa, quindi Seth chiede a John di aprirgli un varco. John lo segue attraverso Tumbleweed, combattendo i membri della banda che bloccano la strada verso la villa.

La parte anteriore dell'edificio è sbarrata, costringendo Seth e John a entrare dalle porte del seminterrato. John uccide gli uomini in attesa al piano inferiore e si fa strada tra le stanze anguste della villa. Seth gli rimane vicino mentre John combatte fino al piano superiore, dove altri uomini armati hanno preso posizione al secondo piano.

In una stanza al piano superiore, Seth raggiunge finalmente il luogo che stava cercando. Trova un occhio di vetro e tratta quel piccolo oggetto come il suo tesoro perduto da tempo. John resta a guardare Seth festeggiare la sua scoperta all'interno della villa di Tumbleweed.

Curiosità

  • ◆The title of this mission, "Let the Dead Bury Their Dead", is a quote from Jesus in Matthew 8:22 and Luke 9:60 when talking with an unnamed disciple about following him and going and proclaiming the kingdom of God.
  • ◆People at camp sites occasionally talk about a family that was eaten by a ghost in Tumbleweed and that all that was left was a glass eye. The eye Seth found may be related to the camp fire story.
  • ◆Ironically, in the basement, Seth walks past the real treasure for Treasure Hunter Rank 4.
  • ◆As of June 2014, multiple players have confirmed that after the last cutscene of the mission, they can hear a Zombie Marston growl made by Marston.
  • ◆In Undead Nightmare the glass eye is one of the rumored sources of the plague.
  • ◆Additionally, in the DLC, after John clears out the graveyards and returns to Seth, the latter swallows the glass eye.
