في Campo Mirada، تخبر Luisa Fortuna، John Marston بأن Abraham Reyes قد أسره Mexican Army وحكم عليه بالموت في El Presidio. وخشية أن تنهار الثورة من دونه، تطلب من John مساعدتها. يركب John في عربة Luisa بينما تقله عبر Nuevo Paraiso إلى الحصن، ثم يتركها خارج أسواره.
يتسلل John عبر جزء متهدم من سور El Presidio ويصل إلى موقع قناص فوق ساحة الإعدام. يُحتجز Reyes في الأسفل، بينما يستعد جلاد لإطلاق النار عليه. يستخدم John بندقية Rolling Block لقتل الجلاد قبل تنفيذ الحكم، ثم يقاتل جنود الحصن حتى يخلو الفناء.
يطلق John سراح Reyes، الذي يطلب حصانا. يعثر John على واحد في الطرف البعيد من El Presidio ويعود من أجله. ومع Reyes ممتطيا خلفه، يتبع John دليلا من الثوار خارج الحصن ونزولا إلى مرسى على San Luis River، حيث تنتظر Luisa. يعانقها Reyes، ويناديها Laura، ويتحدث عن كتابة قصيدة حول هروبه.

- 5Free Reyes and find a horse.
- 6Ride with Reyes to safety.

- ◆If the player doesn't SKIP TO DESTINATION while riding a shotgun with Luisa and watches the journey, there is a chance Luisa will crash the wagon, thus failing the mission.
- ◆If the player bumps Reyes with the horse while attempting to pick him up, the mission will be failed because the player was "too aggressive." However, the checkpoint to retry the missions will be after all the guards are already dead.
- ◆While Reyes is singing to Luisa in the final clip, he again calls her Laura, in which she doesn't even seem to care.
- ◆This is one of the two only missions in which Reyes does not fight. The other one is "The Great Mexican Train Robbery".
