En Campo Mirada, Luisa Fortuna le cuenta a John Marston que el Ejército Mexicano ha capturado a Abraham Reyes y lo ha condenado a muerte en El Presidio. Convencida de que la rebelión no resistirá sin él, le pide ayuda a John. John viaja en la carreta de Luisa por Nuevo Paraiso hasta la fortaleza y la deja fuera de las murallas.
John se cuela en El Presidio por una parte derruida de la muralla y llega a una posición de francotirador sobre el patio de ejecución. Reyes está retenido abajo, ante un verdugo preparado para disparar. John usa el Rolling Block para matar al verdugo antes de que cumpla la sentencia y acaba con los soldados de la fortaleza.
John libera a Reyes, que le pide un caballo. John encuentra uno en el otro extremo de El Presidio y regresa a recogerlo. Con Reyes montado detrás de él, John sigue a un guía rebelde fuera de la fortaleza hasta un embarcadero del río San Luis, donde espera Luisa. Reyes la abraza, la llama Laura y habla de escribir un poema sobre su huida.

Curiosidades
- ◆If the player doesn't SKIP TO DESTINATION while riding a shotgun with Luisa and watches the journey, there is a chance Luisa will crash the wagon, thus failing the mission.
- ◆If the player bumps Reyes with the horse while attempting to pick him up, the mission will be failed because the player was "too aggressive." However, the checkpoint to retry the missions will be after all the guards are already dead.
- ◆While Reyes is singing to Luisa in the final clip, he again calls her Laura, in which she doesn't even seem to care.
- ◆This is one of the two only missions in which Reyes does not fight. The other one is "The Great Mexican Train Robbery".
