John Marston llega a la casa de Luisa Fortuna en Campo Mirada y encuentra a Miranda consolando a su madre frente a la vivienda. La familia espera que la revolución de Abraham Reyes estalle pronto. Piensan ocultarse en las colinas, pero Miranda debe abandonar México por el peligro que corren las mujeres allí. Luisa decide quedarse para luchar en la revolución.
Luisa le pide a John que lleve a Miranda a los muelles, desde donde partirá para trabajar para un hombre en Yucatán. John toma las riendas de una diligencia y Miranda sube a su lado. Salen de Campo Mirada con prisa por alcanzar el barco antes de que zarpe. Soldados del Mexican Army detienen la diligencia en el camino, los toman por rebeldes y abren fuego.
John guía la diligencia entre los controles del ejército mientras Miranda le señala rutas para sortear los bloqueos. Más soldados les cierran el paso junto a un puente, y varios jinetes persiguen el carruaje. John los rechaza mientras continúa hacia la costa y se ocupa de un último soldado que conduce una carreta. En Puerto Cuchillo, Miranda da las gracias a John y se marcha en el barco, dejándolo junto a la diligencia en los muelles.

- ◆This mission title is a parody of the Biblical verse in Genesis 4:9, in which God asked Cain where his slain brother Abel was, and Cain replied, "I don't know. Am I my brother's keeper?" (NIV)
- ◆During gameplay, there are four horses pulling the stagecoach, however in the first cutscene, there are only two.
- ◆Attentively listening to Miranda is actually highly instructive (only once or so perhaps does she offer imperfect counsel regarding efficient road travel). On the whole, her instruction should be obeyed without thinking. When Miranda says, "Push through the embattlement!", or, "Go this or that way!", one should heed her - independent thinking allows a few shorter cuts than she advises, but not by much and the evasive tactics she urges to Marston's mind, prove efficacious.
- ◆Luisa's sister seems as though she does not like it when John kills the soldiers, as she will say things along the line of "Have you no feelings?"
- ◆If John shoots the soldiers before the first cutscene, this will trigger the first cutscene to be skipped. It will not disrupt the mission. Sniper and scoped weaponry have relevance here.
