Preaching Forgiveness as He Went

• ◆The mission's title is a Biblical reference to Luke 3:3, which says that St. John the Baptist "went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins" (NIV).
• ◆If the player acts quickly after the mission is completed they can ride Lenny's horse Maggie. This is one of the few times a gang's horse can be ridden in game although she will buck the player and run back if they try and leave camp.
• ◆During this mission, Arthur and Lenny will encounter the Abandoned Church for the former to mark as a Point of Interest. If Arthur does inspect it and write it in his journal, then its entry will become available after the mission.
• ◆After completing this mission, the Lemoyne Raiders in Shady Belle will stop respawning. Players will not be able to clear for loot again until after completing "Fleeting Joy".
• ◆After leaving Shady Belle, if the player decides to go off track to avoid encountering the last group of Lemoyne Raiders, Lenny will comment on how he feels he and Arthur "should have met someone by now", hinting at the last Lemoyne Raiders they were supposed to face on the road.
• ◆Even though Arthur doesn't know of Shady Belle until this mission, it is possible for the player to visit Shady Belle when it's a Gang Hideout starting at Chapter 2 and at the beginning of Chapter 3 up until the player initiates this mission. Doing so will have Arthur tell Lenny about being there before when they arrive at Shady Belle.
• ◆This is the only mission where Arthur calls Lenny by his full name, Leonard (occurs after killing the three Lemoyne Raiders after stealing the wagon).
