Following a lead about the Lemoyne Raiders sitting on a pile of weapons, Lenny and Arthur ride out deep into the woods towards Shady Belle.

Lenny Summers llama a Arthur Morgan en Clemens Point tras recibir información sobre Shady Belle, una mansión del pantano ocupada por los Lemoyne Raiders. Explica que aquellos exconfederados están acumulando armas para financiar su causa. Arthur acepta investigar y ambos cabalgan hacia el sur. Durante el trayecto, Lenny habla del racismo y la violencia que sufren los negros en Lemoyne. Arthur le asegura que Dutch y el resto de la banda valoran su trabajo.
En Bolger Glade ven un carro cargado de dinamita y lo siguen entre los árboles hasta Shady Belle. Arthur y Lenny esconden los caballos en el bosque y esperan a que pase el carro. Arthur examina la mansión con la mira de su rifle, fijándose en los guardias, los explosivos y las rutas de entrada. Ordena a Lenny que se acerque amistosamente a los Raiders para distraerlos, o se dispone a detonar la dinamita desde lejos.
El plan desemboca en un tiroteo contra los Lemoyne Raiders. Arthur y Lenny limpian los terrenos y buscan las armas que Lenny esperaba hallar. Encuentran un carro repleto de armas y deciden llevarlo a la banda. Tres Raiders los interceptan en el camino al salir de Bayou Nwa, pero Arthur y Lenny los matan antes de continuar con el carro robado.
De vuelta en Clemens Point, Arthur toma un Bolt Action Rifle del cargamento. Elogia las capacidades de Lenny y le dice que los miembros veteranos de la banda se han dado cuenta de sus esfuerzos. Lenny le da las gracias a Arthur, quien se las devuelve mientras el carro de armas entra en el campamento.

Curiosidades
- ◆The mission's title is a Biblical reference to Luke 3:3, which says that St. John the Baptist "went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins" (NIV).
- ◆If the player acts quickly after the mission is completed they can ride Lenny's horse Maggie. This is one of the few times a gang's horse can be ridden in game although she will buck the player and run back if they try and leave camp.
- ◆During this mission, Arthur and Lenny will encounter the Abandoned Church for the former to mark as a Point of Interest. If Arthur does inspect it and write it in his journal, then its entry will become available after the mission.
- ◆After completing this mission, the Lemoyne Raiders in Shady Belle will stop respawning. Players will not be able to clear for loot again until after completing "Fleeting Joy".
- ◆After leaving Shady Belle, if the player decides to go off track to avoid encountering the last group of Lemoyne Raiders, Lenny will comment on how he feels he and Arthur "should have met someone by now", hinting at the last Lemoyne Raiders they were supposed to face on the road.
- ◆Even though Arthur doesn't know of Shady Belle until this mission, it is possible for the player to visit Shady Belle when it's a Gang Hideout starting at Chapter 2 and at the beginning of Chapter 3 up until the player initiates this mission. Doing so will have Arthur tell Lenny about being there before when they arrive at Shady Belle.
- ◆This is the only mission where Arthur calls Lenny by his full name, Leonard (occurs after killing the three Lemoyne Raiders after stealing the wagon).
