Yoga becomes available to Michael De Santa after "Did Somebody Say Yoga?". He is the only protagonist who can take part, choosing between the yoga area at his mansion in Rockford Hills and a site at the summit of Mount Gordo. Fabien LaRouche leads the activity at Michael's home.

A session puts Michael through three positions in order: Warrior, Triangle and Praise the Sun. He follows the required movements for each pose, then controls his breathing by holding the prompts at the right time. Warrior uses three quick-time movements, Triangle uses four, and Praise the Sun closes the session with seven.

If Michael is too slow to enter a pose or breaks the breathing hold too early, he loses his balance and begins that position again. The Mount Gordo session takes place in an isolated area. Cougars do not interrupt Michael while he exercises, but one can be nearby when the session ends.

Trivia

  • โ—†No matter what clothing Michael is wearing when beginning a yoga session, he will always be wearing a faded blue polo shirt and tan shorts during yoga.
  • โ—†Michael keeps the music to the yoga activity on his iFruit phone, as he puts it in a speaker before each session.
  • โ—†Coincidentally, Ned Luke, the actor who portrays Michael in the game, is married to a yoga instructor.
  • โ—†The Maze Bank Foreclosures' description of the Mount Gordo Facility in GTA Online makes a reference to the lack of popularity of the Yoga activity in Grand Theft Auto V, which can be performed on Mount Gordo. The Mount Gordo's haunted campsite from Grand Theft Auto V is also mentioned in the same description, which was replaced by said facility.
  • โ—†Fabien's yoga positions are references to the Kama Sutra.
