Player notes

Michael De Santa sits in the De Santa Residence in Rockford Hills, drinking, smoking and watching an old film. Amanda De Santa objects to the cigar and the argument shifts to Trevor's return. Fabien LaRouche arrives for Amanda's yoga session and invites Michael to take part. To Amanda's surprise, Michael agrees. Outside, Fabien directs them through three poses. He then positions himself behind Amanda for a fourth pose that Michael finds suggestive. Michael lunges at Fabien, misses, and falls into the swimming pool as Amanda leaves with Fabien.

Angry and alone, Michael goes to Jimmy De Santa's room and asks to spend time together. Jimmy reluctantly lets his father accompany him to Burger Shot on San Andreas Avenue, where he meets his friend Ahron Ward for drugs. Before they leave, Jimmy asks Ahron for something else, and Ahron returns with a drink. Michael drives Jimmy away from Burger Shot in the Tailgater and drinks from it on the way back to Rockford Hills.

The drink has been drugged. Michael becomes disoriented and pulls over, but Jimmy dismisses his condition, forces him out of the Tailgater and drives away. Michael loses consciousness, then hallucinates chimps, an alien abduction and a fall above Los Santos. He eventually wakes in his underwear and makes his way back to the De Santa Residence. The house is empty. In the kitchen, Michael finds Amanda's note saying that she, Jimmy and Tracey have moved out.

  • โ—†The show that Michael was watching was originally from , a game published by Rockstar Games.
  • โ—†The drink that causes Michael's hallucinogenic episode is most likely laced with ketamine, as Jimmy makes a passing reference to the drug's continued use in veterinary practice and ketamine is the most commonly abused hallucinogenic substance available on the black market that fits this description; PCP, another popular hallucinogen, has not been available for veterinary purposes in the US since 1978. However, the drug effect's name in the files suggests that Michael took DMT ("DMT_flight_intro", "DMT_flight"). It is possible that the drink was laced with a combination of these drugs.
  • โ—†The trip sequence references multiple Hollywood movies:
  • โ—†It resembles Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. Similarly to the beginning of the trip, the movie starts with apes, which represent early humans, and ends with the protagonist going out of a spaceship into a colorful and trippy "star-gate".
  • โ—†The flying sequence may also reference the film The Big Lebowski, in which The Dude takes drugs and hallucinates that he's flying over Los Angeles at night, the city that Los Santos is based on.
  • โ—†The appearance of the aliens that abduct Michael bears similarities to the Xenomorphs from the Aliens franchise.
  • โ—†All these references, in addition to the fact that Michael is watching a vintage movie in the initial cutscene, further emphasise his passion for cinema and how it reflects in the way he sees his life, even later influencing some of the heists he plans.
  • โ—†The check list at the end of the mission features the line "Praise the Sun!". This is a reference to Dark Souls, a fantasy RPG, which features this line which has since attained meme-like popularity among Dark Souls fans.
  • โ—†The mission is named after Fabien's introductory phrase "Did somebody say yoga?". These are also the first words that Trevor greets Michael with after not seeing him for nearly a decade during Fame or Shame.
  • โ—†In the beta, Amanda was wearing a bath robe at the beginning of the mission.
  • โ—†The screenshot on the Rockstar Social Club shows Michael wearing white cargo shorts during this mission.
  • โ—†If Jimmy is sitting on the couch when the mission starts, he will be both there and in his room when Michael comes to fetch him. Jimmy will even remain on the couch when Michael comes back to the 'empty' house. He will only disappear if Michael sits down after the mission ends.
  • โ—†Sometimes, if Michael fails a yoga session, Amanda will say that Michael was an athlete once.
  • โ—†When Michael sees the TV in Jimmy's room, he asks Jimmy who paid for it. Jimmy reminds Michael that he paid for it due to him smashing the other one in Daddy's Little Girl. However, if Michael wins the bike race in Daddy's Little Girl, he tells Jimmy to buy his own TV.
  • โ—†The song played during the 'trip scene' is C90's "Shine a Light (Flight Facilities Remix)". This song is featured on Radio Mirror Park, albeit it plays very rarely.
  • โ—†During the part of the mission where Michael falls, voice clips from other characters, including Michael, Franklin, Amanda, Jimmy, Tracey and Isiah Friedlander can be heard.
  • โ—†Dr Friedlander can be heard saying "What do you want, Michael?"; however, this voiceline by Friedlander was not heard by Michael until their final therapy session in Abandonment Issues, which took place long after this mission, towards the end of the game.
  • โ—†During the trip sequence, should Michael "fly" over restricted airspace, the world will react as if he has a five-star wanted level, and the player's controller lightbar will flash red and blue if the player is on PS4/PS5. This is likely an oversight by the developers.
  • โ—†After Michael wakes up from the drug trip, pedestrians will react in horror or disgust at him, in the same way they do for Trevor, until Michael returns to his house.
  • โ—†If the player somehow manages to return to Michael's house before he is kicked out of his car, the mission marker at the mansion won't trigger and there will be no one there. Getting out of the car and walking away from the house will cause the mission to fail because Michael abandoned Jimmy and the car. To continue the mission from there, get back in the car and drive away from the mansion.
  • โ—†No matter which direction the player sends Michael in during his hallucination, he will always wake up in Rockford Hills.
  • โ—†After this mission, the scene where Michael wakes up wearing only his underwear becomes one of his switch scenes when he is at his house when switching to him. He will eventually change to his suit afterwards before taking control of him.
