Death at Sea

After Blitz Play, Michael De Santa meets Abigail Mathers at the Sonar Collections Dock in Paleto Cove. Abigail asks whether he knows Frank Mathers, a television producer and environmentalist who was also her husband. She calls Frank cruel and heartless, saying he left his sick wife and five children for her. Now Frank is gone, and Abigail says she has been left with nothing.

Abigail explains that Frank died when his submarine failed during an attempt to save the San Andreas white shark. His body was never recovered. Reports suggested that someone had interfered with the submarine's airlocks, but Abigail insists this was never established. The insurance company will not release the life insurance money unless she can show that Frank died in an accident and that the airlocks were not tampered with.

She asks Michael to recover the 30 scattered pieces of Frank's submarine. A Dinghy equipped with sonar is available at the dock for the search. After Michael has begun the job, Michael, Franklin or Trevor can retrieve the pieces from the waters around San Andreas. When the thirtieth piece is found, What Lies Beneath begins.
