Player notes

Trevor meets Cletus Ewing outside Cletus's dilapidated blue house on Marina Drive in Sandy Shores. Cletus says he is out hunting and invites Trevor along. Trevor accepts, and Cletus gives him a sniper rifle before leading him upstairs to the terrace of his house. From the lookout, Cletus points out three satellite dishes around the neighbourhood. Trevor shoots each of them down with the rifle.

Cletus then takes Trevor to a rundown motel in western Sandy Shores. They climb to a second floor balcony overlooking the nearby highway. Cletus sets Trevor another shooting task, this time aimed at passing traffic. Trevor uses the sniper rifle to puncture a tire on each of three moving vehicles as they travel along the road.

After the last vehicle pulls over, Cletus leads Trevor up onto the motel roof. Coyotes are roaming on the ground nearby, and Cletus wants them cleared out. Trevor tracks the animals through the rifle scope and shoots three coyotes. The remaining animals scatter from the area.

With the shooting finished, Cletus tells Trevor that he will send him an invitation to Paleto Bay for an elk hunt. Trevor agrees to join him. He remains with Cletus on the roof of the motel in Sandy Shores.

Trivia

  • โ—†The gold medal objective named "Pop! Pop!" could be a reference to the catch phrase of the character Magnitude from the TV show Community.
  • โ—†During this mission, the color tint of the sniper rifle is restored to the black color if the player selected any custom tint at the gun shop. However, the color is restored to the player's choice after this mission.
  • โ—†There is a glitch where the player can travel too far without failing. It is a well known glitch that many players have used to visit restricted areas without attaining a wanted level.
  • โ—†The mission fails if Trevor kills three innocent people. Strangely, killing two people followed by a bird is enough to trigger this failure. Aside from the intended condition of killing three humans, the mission only fails if the sequence of killing two people and then a bird is followed. Killing the bird first, or killing one human and two birds, do not cause mission failure.
