Fair Game

Cletus Ewing texts Trevor Philips and asks him to come to Bayview Lodge in Paleto Forest. Trevor meets him at the lodge, where Cletus is preparing to hunt elk. He gives Trevor a deer call and takes him away from the road and into the forest, beginning a lesson in stalking game.

Trevor follows Cletus through Paleto Forest as Cletus explains how the wind can carry a hunter's scent to an elk. He also shows Trevor how the deer call can draw out nearby animals and warns him not to shoot antlerless deer, which are female. Cletus leads him to the first elk, and Trevor kills it without alerting the animal. Trevor then uses the call and the same hunting methods to take a second and third elk.

Cletus leaves after the third kill, but asks Trevor to find one more elk and send him a photograph of the carcass. Trevor calls in another animal, kills it, approaches the body and takes the picture. Once the photograph reaches Cletus, he calls Trevor and proposes that Trevor keep hunting and send him pictures so he can sell the meat. Trevor says he has other matters to deal with, but will consider it.
