Uncalculated Risk

Franklin arrives at the shore of the Land Act Reservoir in the Tataviam Mountains, where the Labrador Retriever that led him to Dom before is waiting. The dog barks and runs on, and Franklin follows it toward the Land Act Dam. At the dam, he finds Dom Beasley standing above the drop, preparing for another stunt.

Dom reveals that he intends to jump from the dam without a parachute. Franklin tries to dissuade him, but Dom works himself up, mocks Franklin's concern and dives over the edge. His confidence gives way to panic during the fall, and he is killed when he strikes the ground below.

Franklin remains at the dam after Dom's death. He can leave the area, ending the encounter there, or take the nearby parachute, climb the stairs beside the dam and follow Dom's route with a parachute. If he jumps, Franklin descends into the ravine and lands by the water below the Land Act Dam.
