The Demon Drink

In Escalera, Vincente de Santa sends John Marston to Tesoro Azul, where rebels are believed to be hiding. De Santa offers the operation as another part of the army's promised help in finding Javier Escuella. He challenges Marston to race him across Nuevo Paraiso to the settlement, and Marston rides with him toward Tesoro Azul. Captain Espinoza accompanies them when they arrive outside the town.

The three men dismount at Tesoro Azul's gate and enter the settlement. Rebels open fire from behind crates, inside houses and from the roofs. Marston fights through the streets beside De Santa and Espinoza, shooting the men who emerge from the buildings and those already positioned among the town's cover. The Mexican Army officers remain with him as the resistance in Tesoro Azul is wiped out.

After the shooting stops, Marston takes Fire Bottles from a nearby crate. He throws them into the rebel buildings until the structures catch fire. Flames spread through Tesoro Azul while De Santa and Espinoza watch the town burn. Marston looks over the burning houses as the operation ends in Tesoro Azul.
