The Legendary Chain Pickerel is a Legendary Fish based on Esox niger. It is a rare pickerel and one of the 13 Legendary Fish in Red Dead Redemption 2. Reports place it at over nineteen inches long and around nine pounds.
It lives in the Dakota River in The Heartlands, New Hanover. Its fishing spot lies west of Limpany, along the stretch of river running northwest of Flatneck Station. Fishermen report greater activity on sunny days.
The fish responds only to a Special River Lure. It can be caught on its own or during the Stranger mission "A Fisher of Fish".
