Player notes
Before 1899, Anders Helgerson becomes an advocate and leader of the Chelonians, a religious cult. He travels between settlements seeking converts to the faith and preaching its doctrines. By the time the Van der Linde gang reaches Lemoyne, Helgerson is active in Saint Denis, where he presents himself as a clean-shaven preacher in a white suit and green string tie.
In 1899, Arthur Morgan encounters Helgerson preaching Chelonianism on a Saint Denis street. Helgerson tries to recruit him and offers him a pamphlet setting out the cult's beliefs. Arthur may take the pamphlet or refuse it, while Helgerson remains in the city to appeal to other passers-by.
After "American Venom" in 1907, John Marston finds Helgerson in Saint Denis again. Helgerson is now dirtier and less well kept, wearing a dark green suit and blue bow tie. He warns John that the world is ending and says a new master waits in the hills near Granite Pass. At the nearby Chelonian camp, a Chelonian Master leads several followers over a cliff. John can join their chant and jump after them.
