Archibald MacGregor

Archibald MacGregor is Sheriff Leigh Gray's deputy in Rhodes, Scarlett Meadows, and a man whose family has served the Gray family for generations. Before joining the Sheriff's Office, he works on the land at Caliga Hall. He speaks readily of his relatives, including his uncle Reginald, a sheriff and preacher with a drinking problem, an aunt he visits in Paris in 1878, and his cousin Webster. Loyal to the Grays, he shares their hostility toward the Braithwaites.

In Red Dead Online, Archibald stands with Sheriff Gray outside the Rhodes Sheriff's Office as the protagonist examines the bounty board. Gray mistakes the protagonist for the hunter sent after the remaining Twin Rocks gang, until the actual hunter arrives with several bodies in a wagon. Ordered to count them, Archibald finds that one outlaw is absent. The last gang member is discovered nearby and killed, leaving Gray to order Archibald to clear the scene and dispose of the corpses.

In 1899, Archibald and Sheriff Gray call on Arthur Morgan after prisoners escape from a prison wagon. Archibald rides with Arthur in pursuit, and Arthur stops the fugitives on a train before capturing their leader. Back in Rhodes, Archibald shows Arthur around town, while Gray invites Arthur and Dutch van der Linde to return. He later accompanies Dutch, Arthur and Bill Williamson against a Lemoyne Raider moonshine operation. Afterward, he takes one bottle while Dutch persuades him to leave the rest with the gang, then departs with the captured bootleggers.

When the Gray family sets an ambush in Rhodes after learning the Van der Linde gang has deceived them, Archibald remains beside Sheriff Gray. Once the fighting has left the Gray gunmen dead, Gray and his deputies hold Bill hostage in the street. Arthur and Micah Bell confront them. Archibald is killed in the ensuing standoff, by either Arthur or Micah.
