Player notes

Arnold Dunn is an American clerk who runs the Saints Hotel in Valentine, New Hanover. He has relatives named Eugene, Thomas, Marry, Lucy and Bridget Dunn. In 1899, he wears a white shirt beneath a blue vest and brown jacket, with dark trousers, a brown moustache and hair parted down the middle. He greets the hotel's guests in a friendly manner.

When the Van der Linde gang comes to Valentine, Arthur Morgan enters the Saints Hotel during "Polite Society, Valentine Style" while looking for Karen. Dunn is also present when Arthur fights Tommy in "Americans at Rest", watching the brawl at the hotel. Later, during "Sodom? Back to Gomorrah", Arthur, Karen, Bill Williamson and Lenny Summers take Dunn and Ben Calloway hostage as they rob the Valentine Savings Bank.

Dunn remains at the Saints Hotel after the gang leaves Valentine. By 1907, he is still running the establishment. He looks older, his centre-parted hair has grown longer and his moustache is fuller. He has exchanged his earlier blue vest for a red one.

Trivia

  • โ—†Sometimes in Red Dead Online there can be two Arnold Dunns, one of them will be on the outside sweeping the floor, while the other one will be inside, behind the desk. Rarely, up to four Dunns can be seen.
  • โ—†During a random encounter the player can rob a room of the hotel. However, Dunn will be absent and a woman will be welcoming the customers.
  • โ—†He appears to share the same character head with the male that gets extorted during the random encounter with the O'Driscolls in Valentine.
  • โ—†Dunn is played by Jack Pattillo, co-founder and member of the gaming channel Achievement Hunter.
  • โ—†During the fight with Tommy in the mission "Americans at Rest", he can be heard cheering on Tommy by saying "Kill him, Tommy" and "Don't take that from him!"
  • โ—†He will sometimes mention the events of "The Sheep and the Goats" and "Just a Social Call".
