Player notes
Mrs. Geddes lives at Pronghorn Ranch in Big Valley, West Elizabeth, with her husband, David Geddes, who owns the property, and their sons, Duncan and Angus. She enters John's story while he is employed at the ranch. Her encounters with him centre on the Geddes household and its barn, where the family goes about ranch work while trouble involving the Laramie Gang begins to affect them.
Immediately after John completes an errand with Duncan, Mrs. Geddes asks him to help with a mare in the barn as she gives birth. John stays with her through the delivery, and the foal is born safely. Mrs. Geddes then invites him into the house. John declines the invitation, explaining that he is a married man.
Mrs. Geddes is later at the barn with David when John comes over to them. David tells John about his concern over the Laramie Gang's harassment of Abe, while Mrs. Geddes remains with her husband. At a later time, she and David send old furniture to John and his family as a housewarming gift and an expression of their gratitude.
Trivia
- โIt seems that Mrs. Geddes is all too aware of her husband's tendencies to hire prostitutes; she implicitly makes a comment about it in a conversation with John and appears to have a fairly strained relationship with her husband, judging by their conversation. It's also implied that, in retaliation for her husband's womanizing ways, she sleeps with the ranch's farmhands, as demonstrated by her proposition to John, which she rescinds when she realizes he's married.
