Nate Davison

Nate Davison lives with his father, Algie, at Catfish Jacksons in Scarlett Meadows, Lemoyne. His mother leaves the household because of Algie's gambling, drinking and violence. Algie borrows money from Leopold Strauss, and Arthur Morgan comes to collect it during "Money Lending and Other Sins V". Algie invites Arthur in, orders Nate to fetch a drink and pretends to look for the debt money. When Algie attacks Arthur, Nate hides in his room. Afterward, he tells Arthur that he has concealed money from his father in his foot locker.

Arthur later finds Nate arguing with Algie over their lack of food and Algie's drinking and gambling. Algie strikes Nate when he mentions his mother leaving, and Nate spots Arthur outside. Depending on Arthur's earlier visits to Catfish Jacksons, Nate points him toward money in the chimney or Algie's room after his father is subdued. On another visit, Nate says there is nothing left to take. Nate fears Algie but still pleads for Arthur to spare him, because Algie is his only family.

On a final 1899 visit, Arthur may find Algie dead and Nate armed with a hunting knife, blaming Arthur for his father's death. If Nate dies first, Algie mourns him inside the house before confronting Arthur. If Nate survives into 1907, John Marston finds him alone at Catfish Jacksons after Algie's death. Nate has become a bitter drunkard like his father. He orders John away and attacks if John remains, or later lies unconscious outside the house while John enters it.
