Anderson Boys

Founded by Anders Anderson before 1899, the Anderson Boys operate across Scarlett Meadows. Newspapers report that they bring terror to the region, including the abduction of three wealthy people. The gang collects $2,000 for each captive's return, and two of those released have been badly mutilated. By the time the Van der Linde gang settles at Clemens Point, the Sheriff of Rhodes and his deputy Archibald MacGregor have caught the Anderson Boys.

Hosea Matthews, Dutch van der Linde and Arthur Morgan encounter Archibald taking the gang to Rhodes in a prison wagon, where Josiah Trelawny is also held. Dutch calls himself "Hoagy Macintosh" while speaking with Sheriff Gray about getting Trelawny released. As the lawmen are occupied, Anders picks the wagon's lock. He and his men escape and board a passing train.

Arthur and Archibald chase the train on horseback. One of the fugitives strikes an overhead bar and falls from the rear carriage, while Arthur jumps aboard and deals with the remaining Anderson Boys. Anders draws a knife when Arthur reaches him, but Arthur knocks him unconscious. Archibald stops the train, then returns to Rhodes with Arthur and Anders, saying the other fugitives will be found. Anders is placed in the Rhodes sheriff's office jail.
