Old Belle

Old Belle is a small Horse in the Race class, with Race handling. Her listed coat is Smoky Black, though her appearance has the features of a greying horse: a mostly black mane and tail threaded with red, red-pigmented marks in the coat, a dark grey mouth, brown eyes and black hooves. She has speed rated at 4, acceleration at 3, and health and stamina at 3.

Throughout 1899, Old Belle belongs to Karen Jones, who appears to have formed a bond with her. She can be found at camp or close to Karen. Old Belle first appears at Horseshoe Overlook, where Karen does not ride her. At Clemens Point, Karen takes her to Valentine for the bank robbery. The horse remains around camp at Shady Belle and Beaver Hollow, until Karen leaves.

Old Belle functions as Karen's gang mount and can keep pace with the other gang horses during the Valentine escape. She follows Karen's directions through the gunfight. Like the other gang horses, she can be uneasy about being petted, and may become restless or rear when someone bumps into her. Gunfire makes her somewhat skittish, but she stays level-headed and does not bolt.
