Player notes

Arthur Morgan arrives at Braithwaite Manor to find Hosea Matthews and Sean MacGuire playing cribbage with Catherine Braithwaite and Bartholomew. Hosea has arranged another job against the Gray family. Arthur leaves with Sean in a wagon carrying the gang's remaining moonshine, bound for Caliga Hall. Sean explains that they will pass as delivery men, then use the liquor to set the Grays' tobacco crop alight. Near the plantation, Sean remembers that the Grays know Arthur, so Arthur hides in the wagon while Sean takes the reins.

At Caliga Hall, Sean talks his way past the gate guard, Hamish, and lets him guide the wagon to the storehouse. Sean keeps Hamish occupied while Arthur silently kills him. They remain inside until night, preparing fire bottles and moonshine. When they slip out, they overhear a payroll wagon arriving at the barn. Sean heads toward it while Arthur moves through the tobacco, pouring moonshine over the crop without drawing the patrolling guards' attention.

Arthur joins Sean at the barn after soaking the fields. Sean douses the building, and Arthur throws a fire bottle inside. The barn and tobacco blaze, bringing the Gray guards down on them. Their first escape horses bolt in the gunfire, so Arthur and Sean fight through the burning fields to the payroll wagon. Arthur cuts its horses loose as Sean takes the payroll. They mount up, break away from Caliga Hall under fire, and return to Clemens Point.

Trivia

  • โ—†Before the mission, Arthur can steal the moonshine wagon, deliver it to the Wagon Fence, and sell it to Seamus.
  • โ—†Volatile fire bottles and incendiary rounds will not ignite the tobacco. Arthur must use regular fire bottles to satisfy the mission objective.
  • โ—†It is possible to explore the Braithwaite house before starting the mission. The player has to throw a dynamite or any projectile at the doorman after the latter opens the door and asks Arthur to come inside the house.
  • โ—†The Braithwaite house can also be explored during the mission after the initial cutscene.
  • โ—†The Doorman has a total of 7 different dialogues if Arthur ignores him and doesn't enter the manor house. The last one where his says "This way please." for the second time appears to be recorded by a different voice actor.
  • โ—†If the player uses mods and goes back to the room where Hosea, Catherine and Bartholomew are, Hosea will tell Arthur to get back on the horse despite the objective being to get on the wagon.
  • โ—†If the player kills Hamish before Sean does, Hamish's body will still be lying just outside with a stab wound in the following cutscene as if Sean had killed him instead.
  • โ—†It is impossible to loot Hamish due to the cutscene starting only moments after killing him.
