About this weapon

Calloway's Revolver is a rare Schofield Revolver plated in silver. "Canis Canem Edit" is engraved along the barrel. It belonged to the gunslinger Jim "Boy" Calloway before Slim Grant shot Calloway in the back. The weapon holds six rounds, carries up to 100 rounds of Revolver Ammo, and cannot be customized.

The revolver is obtained from Calloway during "The Noblest of Men, and a Woman," where he is the final duelist. After Grant kills him, Calloway's body can be looted for the gun. In version 1.00, it can also be taken by shooting Calloway in the saloon before the mission begins and collecting the revolver he drops.

As a Revolver, Calloway's Revolver is used with Revolver Ammo and has the same six-round capacity associated with its Schofield design. Its silver finish and barrel engraving set it apart visually, while its fixed configuration leaves no customization options.

Trivia

◆"Canis Canem Edit" is Latin for "dog eats dog".
◆This may also be a reference to the 2006 open-world game Bully, another Rockstar Games title, as the game was initially released as Canis Canem Edit in PAL regions.
◆Humorously, the Compendium describes how the revolver previously belonged to Jim "Boy" Calloway, who "was shot in the back by the coward Slim Grant", as Levin would later write, instead of what actually happens.
