About this weapon
Otis Miller's Revolver is a rare Schofield Revolver in Red Dead Redemption 2. Its gold and ivory construction is covered with custom engravings, giving it the appearance of a personal gun rather than a standard-issue sidearm. The revolver appears to have belonged to Otis Miller, the famed gunslinger. It cannot be customized.
The weapon becomes available at the beginning of the epilogue. A treasure hunt leads to Rattlesnake Hollow, in northern Cholla Springs, west of Twin Rocks. Otis Miller's Revolver is found inside a cave there. It is not bought from a gunsmith or awarded by another character.
Otis Miller's Revolver holds six rounds and carries up to 100 rounds of Revolver Ammo. It can use Regular, High Velocity, Split Point, Express and Explosive revolver ammunition. As a revolver, it is used as a six-shot handgun, with its ammunition choice determining the rounds loaded into it.
Trivia
- ◆According to the HUD icon, it is possible the revolver was originally intended to have a short barrel.
- ◆It is possible to collect the revolver before the Epilogue, during the mission "Angelo Bronte, A Man of Honor". During the escape from the graveyard, the player must alert and evade the law and then they can head to New Austin since the invisible sniper will be disabled. It is only possible to do this glitch on version 1.0.0, though other methods of acquiring it have since been discovered.
