La Cuban Military es la fuerza del Gobierno Cubano que ocupa Guarma bajo el mando del Coronel Alberto Fussar. Sus soldados custodian las plantaciones de azúcar, imponen la autoridad de Fussar y sofocan la rebelión dirigida por Hercule Fontaine. Fussar dirige a la fuerza desde Aguasdulces, con Levi Simon como su mano derecha y Angel como interrogador de prisioneros.
Después de que el barco de la banda Van der Linde se hunda durante su huida de Saint Denis, Arthur Morgan llega a Guarma y se reúne con los demás miembros atrapados en la isla. Los soldados de Levi Simon detienen a Arthur, Dutch van der Linde, Bill Williamson, Micah Bell y Javier Escuella, y los encadenan junto a rebeldes capturados. Los insurgentes de Fontaine atacan la escolta. Javier recibe un disparo y es apresado, mientras Arthur, Dutch, Bill y Micah escapan con los rebeldes.
Arthur ayuda a Fontaine cuando los militares se disponen a ahorcar a unos trabajadores de plantación que intentaron abandonar Guarma. Un dardo tranquilizante hace que vuelva a caer bajo custodia, y Angel lo interroga. Arthur logra liberarse, deja inconsciente a Angel y salva a los trabajadores. Luego, él y Dutch entran en Aguasdulces, destruyen un procesador de azúcar para distraer a los soldados y rescatan a Javier. Arthur frena a los perseguidores antes de reunirse con los demás en Cinco Torres.
En Cinco Torres, Fontaine explica que la Cuban Military ha bloqueado Guarma y que Fussar ha pedido un buque de guerra desde Cuba. El barco ataca el fuerte mientras los soldados desembarcan en la playa, pero Arthur usa un cañón para hundirlo. Más tarde, la banda asalta Aguasdulces, libera al capitán del barco que los llevó a Guarma y combate contra los militares para destruir las baterías de cañones. Fussar muere durante el asalto, y la banda abandona la isla.

- ◆When inspecting their equipment, you will notice that everything besides their blue uniform and tan hats appear on United States Army soldiers.
- ◆In "Welcome to the New World", all of the soldiers guarding the chain gang have gun belts, but in all other missions this is not the case.
- ◆All Cuban soldiers in Guarma free roam will shoot the player on sight.
- ◆Similarly to the Pinkertons in Blackwater, if the player strays into restricted areas in Guarma without being seen by the sniper, a large number of soldiers will spawn near the player's location.
- ◆Cuban soldiers appear to wear the Model 1886 Rayadillo tunic of the Spanish Colonial Infantry, which was in use in Cuba and Puerto Rico until at least 1899. The in-game variant however has a red collar which was not featured on its real life counterpart.
- ◆If the player enters Guarma prior to Chapter 5 using exploits, the soldiers will not be hostile to the player. If greeted by Arthur they will reply with basic and generic Spanish voice lines.
- ◆Also, if the player uses a glitch to avoid the restrictions in Guarma even after Chapter 5, they will reply even at John.
- ◆Cuban soldiers have almost perfect accuracy and will always spawn in very large numbers at one time, making them one of the most formidable enemies in the game.
- ◆The majority of the Cuban soldiers wear the Sun Hat, but many wear random variations of a sombrero, or no hat at all.
- ◆None of the soldiers wear any apparent rank insignia, and there doesn't appear to be any apparent rank structure other than the named characters.
