Michael arrive chez Ponsonbys sur Portola Drive et enfile un smoking pour l'avant-première de Meltdown. Jimmy s'arrête devant lui dans une limousine, et Michael le rejoint pour se rendre à l'Oriental Theater sur Vinewood Boulevard. Devin Weston appelle pendant le trajet, accusant Michael d'être responsable de la mort de Molly Schultz. Michael nie l'avoir tuée et parle d'un accident, mais Devin lui fait clairement comprendre qu'il n'a pas oublié l'affaire.
Au cinéma, Michael et Jimmy foulent le tapis rouge tandis que Lazlow présente la retransmission de l'avant-première. Solomon Richards accueille Michael et célèbre avec lui la sortie du film avant d'entrer dans la salle. Michael remarque qu'Amanda et Tracey ne sont pas arrivées. Devin apparaît, laisse entendre que Merryweather a été envoyé après la famille de Michael, puis entre dans le cinéma. Michael et Jimmy repartent aussitôt pour la De Santa Residence à Rockford Hills.
Michael trouve des agents de Merryweather à la maison. À l'intérieur, il abat l'homme qui menace Amanda, puis monte à l'étage et sauve Tracey d'un autre preneur d'otage. D'autres agents se déplacent dans la résidence et autour de ses terrains, et Michael les élimine. Lorsqu'il retourne auprès d'Amanda et Tracey, un agent l'attaque. Jimmy vient en aide à Michael en frappant l'homme avec un bang. Michael dit à sa famille de se faire discrète pendant qu'il passe quelques appels.

Anecdotes
- ◆The mission was originally going to be called "Movie Premiere".
- ◆If the player chooses to kill Michael, this will be the final appearance of Amanda and Tracey.
- ◆At the end of the mission, Jimmy makes a reference to modern FPS games. The camera changes to his perspective (first-person view), he enables night vision by using night vision goggles, brings both of his hands in front of him and, using his bong like a melee weapon, takes down the mercenary and then teabags Michael by accident.
- ◆If the player does not have enough money to buy the tuxedo, he will ask the clerk to "put it on his tab", claiming that he will pay by next month.
- ◆This mission is the second-last opportunity (the final one if Deathwish is not chosen as the ending) for the player to keep the off-road Mesa. At the end of the mission, when two Mesas pull up in front of the house, the player can kill the agents and park a Mesa (even both) in Michael's garage before going back upstairs to complete the mission. The Vacca used to drive to the house can also be obtained at this point in the mission and stored for future use.
- ◆This mission bears a resemblance to the intro of , as both games feature the protagonist coming back home to find their homes overrun by mercenaries. Both have their respective wife and daughter inside the house, and both use bullet-time to fend off their attackers. However, unlike , Michael knew about mercenaries trying to kill both Amanda and Tracey at their house before arriving and he earns his victory with his family unscathed.
- ◆This mission is also a reference to the Splinter Cell series with the iconic tri-focal goggles, as well as the night vision sound heard when the goggles are equipped.
- ◆The song that plays on the radio in the limo is "Hood Gone Love It" by Jay Rock ft. Kendrick Lamar. The song can also be heard on Radio Los Santos, and in Franklin's trailer.
- ◆It is possible that Franklin was originally supposed to attend the premiere, as he also unlocks a tuxedo after this mission yet with no explanation as to why. Jimmy also messages him prior to the mission to inform him of the premiere and tells him Michael will be getting a tuxedo, making this more likely.
- ◆The Stretch used in this mission has a special license plate, "VIN3W88D".
- ◆Sometimes, if the player switches to Trevor directly after this mission ends, Michael can be found outside Trevor's trailer sitting in a green armchair due to a bug.
- ◆In the enhanced version, fireworks can be seen in the sky during the premiere.
- ◆This mission is mentioned by Michael in the A Safehouse in the Hills update mission Home Sweet Home, as Michael says to the "this isn't my first time on the wrong end of a home invasion, but this?".
